What is the difference between counselling and psychotherapy?
Both terms are used interchangeably, however counselling usually refers to shorter term work involving specific issues. Psychotherapy on the other hand, is longer term, sometimes open-ended work involving more deeply rooted issues, some of which were esaccordionlished in childhood or the past.
Is counselling for me?
If you're struggling with a particular situation or experiencing a general sense of things not being quite right, talking to a trained therapist and exploring how you're feeling, can help.
How long will I need counselling?
I will work with you for as long as the work is helpful and useful, and we can review this as we go along. You don't need to commit to a certain number of sessions, and we can discuss ending therapy when the time is right for you.

Each online or in-person session is £50 for individuals and £75 for couples. Payment is required 48 -hours before each session begins, by bank transfer.
Can my sessions be paid for by my employer/insurer?

Will you give me the answers/solutions I need?
No, I won't give you any 'fixes', but I will support you in finding your own answers and making any changes that are right for you.
Will I need to fill in any paperwork?
I have a simple contact details form that you would complete at the start of our work, along with a contract outlining how we're going to work together going forward.
Will you tell anyone what I have told you in sessions?
Our work is confidential unless I think you or someone else is at serious risk. I meet with a supervisor who supports me with client work but anything I share will be high level and your anonymity will be protected.
